WHAT IS DOES A “BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOT” MEAN?

Branding photography is simply a group of imagery to represent you personally, or your business. The idea is to have a set of images you can use as your visual identity to solidify your brand to set you apart from your competitors. This can include working with your colors, tones, sets & props that identify you and your brand. It can encompass portraits of you and/or your employees, seeing you in action showcasing what you do, interacting with others, detail shots of your products, views of your space. These images can then be used for all sorts of mediums, from advertising to website production to social media posts.



WHY DO I NEED BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY? WHY CAN’T I JUST GET HEADSHOTS?

This would boil down to what you and your business need. Most businesses these days need an array of images to use for social media use. If you just do a headshot (which, BTW, we will get anyway when doing a Branding Session), you’ve got one image to use, only showing yourself. By doing a Branding photo session, you will have a variety of images to draw from to use in your email campaigns, Instagram posts, Facebook posts, ad campaigns, Pinterest posts, just to name a few. We are an imagery driven society, and now more than ever photography can really help you convey your story.


WHO NEEDS BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

Any entrepreneur, business owner, restaurant, doctors office, store, you name it. And person or group of people who need consistent beautiful imagery to use for their marketing and social media. Any and all businesses can benefit from doing a Branding Photography Session. I especially love supporting local small businesses in and around Portland. I am proud to be Women, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ friendly.


WHAT WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH FOR ME?

That will depend on what you do and what your needs are. We will have an initial phone/zoom call to talk about who you are, what your business entails, where you do your work, who your clients are and what you may think your needs for these photographs are. Based off that, we will start to outline what the photography session’s goals are.



WHAT AND HOW CAN I USE THESE IMAGES FOR?

Most people will use branding imagery for social media postings, like Instagram & Facebook. Other uses are for email campaigns, websites, and advertising. I will provide you with a set of images to use across these online platforms. I can also provide you with print use sized images if you need.
